Join Mayor Ed Lee, Supervisor Malia Cohen (District 10), and keynote speakers Bernard and Shirley Kinsey for the San Francisco African American Historical & Cultural Society's annual Black History Month kickoff at City Hall. The 2011 theme for Black History Month is "African Americans and the Civil War." The event is free, but seating is limited so we ask that you RSVP.

Here's a clip from last year's event: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=877JIouxnGE&feature=player_embedded

The event is free and does not require a ticket, but use this system so that we know who is coming because seating will be limited.
